CROSSAKIEL CIRCUITKELLS M.C.R.C.Spectator Viewing information and circuit Map.
Start / Finish
Spectating is available from both sides of the Start & Finish area with Grandstands available in the field on the inside of the circuit. The Paddock is adjacent to the Start & Finish Area and toilets and the Trade area are also nearby.
There will be a wheel chair access lorry with a ramp in front of the Cairns, which are the houses opposite the paddock, toilets will be nearby.
Hanlons Leap.
Named after Club Member Rory Hanlon this is a fantastic viewing spot as the riders hit this jump in the road flat out leaping past the viewing area on the inside of the track. This area has become popular with camper vans and the local farmer who owns one of the fields at the jumps looks after the campers. There will be grandstands situated at the jumps so come early for the best spots.
Magees Cross
Viewing either side of the roads on the approach to the Crossroads. Slow 90 degrees bend. Lots of exciting out braking manoeuvres take place here. Easy walk from the Start & Finish to Magees Cross for Variety.
Oldcastle Road.
The Old Start & Finish was once situated on this road. Several good unexploited viewing areas along this section, which can be explored in between races. Highly recommended if you have grown tired of the usual places and want a change.
The Kells Corner.
When arriving on the circuit for most people this will be the first corner ( part of the circuit they meet). Grandstands will be located on this Corner as there is a cracking view of the riders approaching from Magees Cross and then taking off for the sweep.
It is a crucial corner providing one of the best overtaking spots on the course. Plenty of viewing on both the inside and outside of the bend.
Toilets and Grandstand in this area.
The Sweep
Flat out kink similar to Station Corner at the North West 200. Fully committed and a must for fans of fast brave cornering. Limited Spectating. There will be a grandstand on the approach to the Sweep, so get there early.
The Jumps
The Most iconic and photographed section of any circuit in Ireland. Amazing spectacle unrivalled in any other discipline of motorsport with 200 bhp Superbikes being catapulted into the air at over 150 MPH. Grandstands available, Catering and Trade Stand (Clintons). Caravan and Camper Van Area behind the Grandstands at the Jumps.
Simply breathtaking - a must - if you have the nerve.
The Adelaide Village Corner
Last corner on the track where races are won and lost. Viewing available on the approach to the bend on the inside of the circuit. Get there early as this is a very popular area because of the views of the jumps and the Start & Finish.
