Thank you from Kells MCRC

On behalf of Kells MCRC I would like to thank the Campbell Family for their very brave decision to encourage us to continue with the racing on Sunday 19th July , they insisted that it is what Padraig would have wanted.  It was a very hard call but we as a club wanted to respect the wishes of the family.       What can I say about the brave riders who put on such a fantastic show in his memory on Sunday.  It was a hard day for so many people but we all pulled together and did what others have done before us we kept the show on the road.       For those who are not aware of it there was a minutes silence for Andrew and Padraig at the riders briefing.  At no time would our club be disrespectful to the memory of any rider.  However we did take into account that everyone was still in shock and it was important to keep riders focussed and felt that it was more appropriate to do the minutes silence at the briefing.       I would like to thank the Medical Team who were fantastic on the day and did all they could.  Many thanks to all the marshals who did a great job, to the many thousands of fans who came along and supported their heroes thank you.       The support given to us over the weekend from so many people is much appreciated.  A special word of thanks to Gail, Donna, Catherine, Christine, Roberta and Amanda who did Trojan word and kept me going.       Saturday was another very sad day for the Motorcycling Family but everyone can be proud of the way they rallied on Sunday and put on such a fantastic show in Padraig and indeed Andrew s memory.       Our thoughts and prayers are with the Neill and Campbell family at this time.       Aileen Ferguson   Race Sec.   Kells MCRC
